We are actively working to embed sustainability into our business decisions. At PRT, operating sustainably means not just minimizing our environmental impact, but also focusing on and promoting tangible actions in social and economic areas.

Over the years, we have invested time and resources into refining our production processes and certification systems to align our economic, environmental, and social performance with key quality standards, establishing guidelines and rules to apply across the company.

Recently, we installed a photovoltaic system for a self-production of clean energy, a significant step to reduce our environmental impact.

We contribute to the development of our local area by participating in regional associations and prioritizing local suppliers for procurement.

PRT has formalized a Responsible Procurement Policy, integrating social and environmental criteria into the supplier selection process. Suppliers must adhere to ethical, social, and environmental standards, and sign a Code of Conduct with PRT.

To ensure we operate fairly, equitably, and legally, we have also introduced a Code of Ethics, shared with all employees and partners.

On 21 June 2021, PRT celebrated a historic milestone: the company's centenary. This important occasion was the perfect time to launch a message of renewal, introducing a new logo, a new vision,mission, and a new website. Our name was simplified from "Poligrafico Roggero e Tortia" to "PRT," reflecting a significant evolution.

In order to further consolidate its presence in the wide format sector and acquire new skills, PRT VISUAL S.r.l. was founded at the beginning of 2023, a company entirely dedicated to image management and large format digital printing that offers complete solutions in the field of visual communication to experts in the sector, combining the experience, expertise and technology of two brands: Kimiprint and Absolutex.

Recognizing the importance of a digital identity, PRT launched a new division, PRT Digital, which develops innovative digital services independently from our printing operations.

In 2023, PRT S.p.A.'s efforts were rewarded with two major awards. We received the Press Gold as Technology Innovator for our ability to innovate in the field of technology, thanks to our research and development initiatives aimed at creating cutting-edge solutions. We were also selected as one of Piedmont's 1,000 best performing companies by the ItalyPost Research Centre and L'Economia del Corriere della Sera. This award reflects our financial strength and our ongoing commitment to sustainable growth.

With the start of the fourth generation at the helm of our company, we have intensified our sustainability commitments and an ESG governance has been structured. The aim is to integrate environmental, social and economic sustainability principles into every stage of our production and management process, with a special focus on reducing emissions and the responsible use of resources.

In compliance with ISO/IEC 27001:2022, we have implemented a Cybersecurity Policy to protect our information assets from various threats. In 2023, we reinforced our cybersecurity team to prevent and respond to potential attacks, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of customer data. The security of our data and customer information is a top priority, and we have a qualified team ready to counter any breach attempt.

The PRT Group decided to adopt a 'Manual of Integrated Systems’ in order to integrate and improve the management of activities concerning product quality, environmental impact management and employee health and safety protection, in compliance with IS0 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

For the second year in a row, PRT S.p.A. received the Gold award from EcoVadis for Corporate Social Responsibility, placing us among the top 5% of companies worldwide for sustainability performance.

96% of production waste is recycled, and the remaining 4% is disposed of by authorized external companies, in compliance with contractual and legal obligations.

A major boost to our environmental policy was the purchase of Absolutex and the subsequent establishment of PRT Visual S.r.l.. The introduction of sublimation printing on fabric with water-based inks is certainly less environmentally impactful than UV printing on rigid panels using solvent inks.

PRT Visual has taken action to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact through the use of LED lamps, UV or water-based inks and recycled cardboard packaging. As of July 2021, the brand has joined Ecolabel 2019, declaring on each package the material it is made of and how it is disposed of.

In 2022, we invested in two new digital printers that consume less energy. Currently, 90% of our lamps are LED, and we use recycled paper packaging.

In early 2023, PRT Visual obtained two important certifications in line with the group's values and objectives in terms of quality and environmental management: ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System Certificate) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System Certificate).

Over the years, PRT Group S.p.A. has obtained various environmental certifications: ISO 14001:2005 (Environmental Management System Certificate), ISO 500001:2018 (Energy Management System Certificate), FSC and PEFC. In 2023, we also achieved EcoPrint^© certification, a significant recognition for printing companies that demonstrate compliance with environmental regulations and continuously monitor and improve the environmental impact of their printing activities.

In 2022, PRT embarked on a new project to implement the principles of Lean Transformation to optimize its organizational growth by improving systems and procedures, including the overhaul of our accounting system.

In 2023, as further evidence of our desire to expand activities and structure processes, we introduced two new roles in PRT S.p.A.: ESG & Corporate Strategy Manager, who is responsible for defining the company's short-, medium- and long-term strategy, integrating ESG principles; Head of Data, responsible for the collection, analysis and interpretation of corporate data, facilitates decision-making at all levels and contributes to the development of new digital services.
