PRT is determined to make significant progress in sourcing clean energy in the coming years. In 2023, PRT France had already taken a meaningful step in this direction by sourcing heating from renewable sources, therefore reducing to zero its Scope 2 emissions linked to natural gas, as highlighted by the reduction in market-based Scope 2 emissions. Location-based Scope 2 emissions, which are more stable over time as they are not influenced by specific energy procurement choices, show a significant reduction from 2022 to 2024. They decreased from 770.4 tonnes of CO₂e to 633.3 tonnes of CO₂e, and then to 486.7 tonnes of CO₂e, in line with the overall decrease in the Group’s energy consumption. This corresponds to a 23% reduction from 2023 to 2024 at Group level. Specifically, PRT S.p.A. reduced its location-based Scope 2 emissions by 22%, and PRT Visual by 23%, in 2024 compared to 2023.
