This initiative followed changes in production processes—such as the installation of new UV LED lamps in the offset department and two new inkjet printing lines—to verify that these changes did not negatively affect air quality. Sampling was carried out using both fixed devices near operational areas and personal samplers worn by employees. Results showed values significantly below regulatory limits, confirming the healthiness of the working environment. Findings were shared with Workers’ Safety Representatives and department managers, and additional sampling is planned in the event of further process changes. PRT also continued to invest in technologies aimed at reducing exposure to VOCs (volatile organic compounds). In the digital department, all printers — except toner-based machines — use water-based inks, which are safer for operators. This choice was based not only on ink composition, but on the overall printing technology, prioritising low-emission solutions. The Plant Director, together with the Head of Human Resources, promoted training and awareness initiatives focused on the correct use of PPE and the prevention of cutting and crushing accidents. In 2024, 334.5 hours of safety training were delivered. The Group’s safety measures have resulted in a very low number of workplace accidents, none of which were serious or fatal. In 2024, only one minor accident was recorded, with an accident frequency rate of 6.30, related to manual handling and cutting operations. Preventive actions included additional internal safety training, reinforcement of operational safety procedures in higher-risk activities and continuous monitoring of PPE use. These results confirm the Group’s historically low accident incidence, even within complex production environments. At PRT France, no workplace accidents were recorded during the 2021–2023 period, reflecting the lower risk profile of a commercial office. 4.6.2.
