Sustainability Report 2024 Page 77 In terms of efficiency, the Group’s energy intensity progressively decreased, stabilising in 2024. The same applies to PRT S.p.A., where both the indicator calculated on processed paper and the one calculated on revenue show more efficient use of energy resources (from 4.16 GJ/t in 2022 to around 3 GJ/t in 2024). For PRT Visual, available data from 2023 onwards show broadly stable consumption over the two-year period, while for PRT France consumption remains marginal, with limited opportunities for efficiency improvements, as the offices are rented. Focus on reduction priorities To significantly reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, PRT must focus efforts primarily on improving the efficiency of electricity and heating consumption, which represent the main share of consumption and emissions (Scope 2). In particular, attention should be focused on PRT S.p.A., which not only accounts for the largest share of total consumption (84%), but also generates 76% of the Group’s revenue and therefore represents the core of operational activities. The Group’s objective remains to progressively increase the use of renewable energy sources and integrate them consistently and structurally, in order to make its growth trajectory more resilient and sustainable.
