Sustainability Report 2024 Page 107 In 2024, our company PRT Visual strengthened its collaboration with FESPA, the global federation for digital and textile printing. This participation translated into projects focused on responsible material use and reduction of production waste, with a specific focus on testing recycled textile substrates and lower-impact printing processes. These activities allow us to play an active role in an international network that is guiding the sector towards increasingly sustainable standards. Within Assografici, the national association for printing and converting companies, the Young Entrepreneurs Group promotes dialogue among new generations and supports the evolution of the sector. Elena Pesce is a member of the Group’s Steering Committee, contributing to the development of initiatives aimed at sharing experiences, spreading best practices and stimulating an innovative approach. In 2024, the Group launched a thematic roadmap structured around several areas of focus. The first—dedicated to artificial intelligence—opened with an event hosted by PRT, welcoming young entrepreneurs for a full day of discussion on practical AI applications in printing companies. The meeting marked the start of a shared journey to explore how new technologies will shape the future of the value chain. In the field of communication and data-driven marketing, participation in DMA/Xplor led to concrete engagement in three directions in 2024: Codes of conduct – we contributed to the drafting of the new Direct Mailing Code, expected to be completed by 2025, which will complement the existing code for telemarketing and teleselling, reinforcing an ethical and responsible approach to personal data processing. Regulatory dialogue – we contributed to public consultations with AGCOM, AGCM and Consip on postal services, bringing the practical experience of companies using postalisation services. In 2024, the focus shifted to new AGCOM resolutions on contributions to the universal service and the redefinition of authorisations. Logistics efficiency and sustainability – together with Poste Italiane, we worked on optimising postalisation flows. The study showed that different shipment grouping can reduce transport needs, generating benefits both in terms of costs and CO₂ emissions. We also brought attention to the concept of a “single envelope” across different postal products, and 2025 may be the year in which this new standard is approved. FESPA ASSOGRAFICI DMA/Xplor
