Our environmental management In 2024, PRT significantly strengthened its environmental commitment by adopting a systemic approach that combines certifications, structured processes and increasingly precise impact measurement. Environmental sustainability continues to represent a core pillar of the Group’s strategy, fully integrated into industrial planning, investment decisions and technological choices. Our activities are governed by a certified management system (ISO 14001, ISO 50001, FSC®, PEFC and Eco-print©), which ensures continuous monitoring of impacts and enables us to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste and enhance the responsible use of resources. The EcoVadis Gold rating, achieved for the third consecutive year, further confirms the robustness of our model and our alignment with international best practices. A particularly significant milestone in 2024 was the formalisation of PRT S.p.A.’s Climate Strategy, which defines a clear pathway towards the Group’s decarbonisation and integrates quantitative targets aligned with the Paris Agreement. This document represents a key element of our environmental governance and will guide investments, energy choices and the evolution of the value chain in the coming years. 2024 marked an important step with the launch of the photovoltaic project at the Beinasco site. This is a strategic investment that will be completed in 2025 and will enable the Company to cover approximately 30% of its annual energy needs. Details of this initiative, which will contribute significantly to reducing Scope 2 emissions, will be explored further in the next Sustainability Report.
