93 PRT GROUP /SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2021 4. Printing variable data This phase is carried out only if a customer’s commission requires printing variable data. The customization phase includes a further step through one of the high-volume digital machines available; only ink is used in order to include variable data in the printed product. 5. Finishing In some rare cases, customers might request works such as die-cutting, the creation of integrated cards, the application of one or more labels on the final product. This phase is called finishing, and precedes the one closing the production process; it is carried out through a labeling machine. 6. Cutting, folding and envelope packaging Once the whole paper reel has been printed and customized, the work is completed with the phases of cutting, folding and envelope packaging. These are three automatic phases that PRT carries out in its production plant or entrusts to some long-time supplier which is familiar with PRT’s needs and deadlines. Emissioni: This phase generates emissions in the atmosphere, the so-called Volatile organic compounds (VOC) that are contained in the used materials. Inspections22 are carried out every three years by the company Sicurezza Lavoro.
