85 PRT GROUP /SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2021 6.2.4. Waste and materials’ circularity Most waste is generated by production activities and 95% of all waste is classified as non-hazardous. In particular, 94% of produced waste is sent to recycling facilities and only 6% is sent to external authorized disposal companies. PRT makes sure that such third parties manage waste in full respect of obligations contained in agreements and in legal norms. These results demonstrate how important it is, for PRT Group, to operate according to circular economy, conceived as a production and consumption model trying to reduce the wastefulness of natural resources, to recycle and reuse raw materials. In particular, two raw materials are sent to recycling facilities: : - Paper, the element letters and paper reels are made of; - Aluminum, used to produce photosensitive plates.
