79 PRT GROUP /SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2021 Over the years, PRT Group has planned several investments focusing on environment and sustainability. It obtained two certifications ensuring its constant commitment towards environmental protection and the use of certified paper: - PEFC ITA 1002:2013 - FSC-STD-40-004 V3-0 Moreover, PRT complies with norm ISO 14001:2015 as of the production cycle of printed products, both for Direct Marketing and invoicing on behalf of third parties. The certification’s latest update was done in 2020. Besides the many periodical renewals of environmental certifications adopted by PRT, standards are controlled once a year by an external Body which certifies their correct implementation. Also, a yearly report is drafted by the Management in order to take action in case of non-compliance; its aim is to solve possible issues in order to pursue a constant improvement of the company’s Environmental Management System. A further demonstration of PRT Group’s commitment is the EcoVadis certification. It is issued by a body evaluating the performance of companies in terms of environmental and social practices. In 2021, PRT gained the Bronze Medal for its services within the printing industry. In particular, the evaluation by EcoVadis is based on answering 21 questions, grouped into four areas: - Environment; - Labor practices and human rights; - Ethics; - Sustainable purchasing. The final score is based on documents provided as evidence by the same company, or receipts by its suppliers, stakeholders’ representatives and third parties. Such score is calculated through a weighted average of the scores obtained in the four areas.
