Ensuring health and safety for our people Health and safety are crucial values to which PRT Group pays the utmost attention, and it commits to a constant monitoring of workplaces in order to reduce potential risks of injuries and protect its employees’ health. The Document of Risk Evaluation is drafted by the Employer with the support of the Person in charge of Protection and Prevention, and the Contracting Physician – following consulting with the Representative of Workers for Safety. It is aimed at scheduling protection and prevention measures in order to protect the workers’ health and safety. It contains a program to improve corporate safety standards. In 2019, PRT proved its will to make improvement at the core of its corporate strategy by updating its management system for health and safety on the workplace according to ISO 45001:2018. The management system, in applying the ISO 45001 norm, is implemented in the Beinasco plant. UNI ISO 45001:2018 is the first international norm defining minimum good practice standards for workers protection. It sets a framework aimed to improve safety, reduce risks in the workplace and improve health and the wellbeing of workers, therefore allowing to improve performance with regard to health and safety. The plant’s Director – who plans working activities – ensures that this certification is maintained through full compliance with the norms, and provides support during the periodical evaluations of the management system that are carried out by third parties. The latter carry out audit sessions in order to highlight strong and weak points in the system; the goal is to put in place solutions aimed at improving more and more.
