The chance to try services demos, combined with a specific knowledge about new selling processes, make sellers more independent and more self-confident within this new context set by the market.” New employees at PRT Group entering the Sales department are included in the company through a program called Induction Training; it is aimed at supporting new workers so that they become familiar with reference people, used platforms, as well as the new workplace and colleagues. The program envisages several steps, ranging from knowing about corporate regulations about behaviors, sharing the Group’s missions and values, to engaging in short and medium-term goals and corporate strategies. In 2020, the pandemic forced PRT Group to review the yearly schedule of personnel training, that was usually carried out live in a classroom. The need to keep social distancing led the company to organize training and updating courses with a remote mode, and to make them available to all the company’s employees. The Production department had more difficulties in adapting to remote training courses, because during everyday tasks the use of computers and similar tools is very limited. In order to meet the different kinds of needs by employees, and despite the difficult situation, PRT Group issued training courses for Production workers inside its premises – making computers available to workers. Other courses instead, were recorded for employees who could attend from home. Remote training courses allowed people to manage their time in the most efficient way; they were able to attend anytime during the day, unlike what used to happen before the pandemic, with face-to-face meetings. So, such courses were successful in terms of interest and results. So much that the company maintained such mode during 2021, too, and combined it with live courses – even though the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic had improved.
