44 PRT GROUP /SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2021 Suppliers are selected by following PRT’s Quality and Environment United Policy, in compliance with UNI EN ISO norms and the Chain of Custody (CoC) of PEFC and FSC standards. However, the final selection is carried out by the brands in an independent way and depending especially on the customers’ requests or specific requirements included in bids. The management and evaluation of PRT’s suppliers are carried out through a common procedure and using an internal software. Each supplier is given a yearly evaluation sheet, with a score from 1 to 4, according to several criteria: • Reliability in deliveries; • Quality of service; • Degree of assistance; • Quality of products; • Environmental certifications (ISO 14001:2015, FSC e PEFC) and quality certifications (ISO9001:2015). Suppliers with a low score are called in order to start a dialogue on reported issues and to verify any improvement chances. Holding environmental certifications is the most significant strong point when choosing a supplier. Besides that, PRT also resorts to companies not holding those certifications, especially subcontractors for the customization of envelopes. These are invited to the supplier’s premises for yearly audit sessions in the presence of inspectors from certification bodies.
